Billy Hubbard is a Tennessee based Americana/Country singer/songwriter. In July 2023 Billy signed as an artist with Spectra Music Group, currently the number one largest independent record company. Spectra released Billy's self-titled album in October 2023!

Billy is also the producer and co-host of the popular podcast ‘My Backstage Pass’ that features interviews with notable artists and others in the music industry. billy is also the co-founder of the iconic venue ‘The Station’ in East TN. His YouTube channel featuring up and coming artists and live shows has had over 3.5 million viewers.

The music in billy's family goes back several generations. his mother’s band the “tennessee pardners” toured the southland in the 1940s and 50s with many great artists of their day. billy started writing songs and playing guitar in his teenage years and in the late 1970s played guitar for “the sunshine singers,” a group consisting of 5 girl vocalists that were featured on local tv and performed as far away as texas.

In 2013 billy wrote/composed and played guitar on the classic christmas song “no greater love (a christmas song)” featuring vocalist lauren joseph that went viral around the world on social media after author/movie producer angus buchan (faith like potatoes, ordinary people) posted on facebook how much he was enjoying it. some churches turned the song into their christmas play for the holidays. in 2013 billy also released the singles “johnny law” and “sittin’ on a rock.” in 2014 he released the single and music video “all the world’s gone crazy.” in 2015 artist asiah mehok also released billy’s song “no greater love (A christmas song).” in 2017 billy released the single “waitin’ on the wind,” a song he wrote based on true events about his cousin and neil young's cousin ferrying a sailboat from the dominican republic to key west.

Billy recently devoted a year to produce his self titled album bringing together Grammy winning musicians and friends at one of Nashville's top studios to record his 10 best unpublished songs spanning 40 years. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered at Welcome to 1979 Studio in Nashville through the legendary Porter Wagoner's old soundboard. Billy's album has been featured in numerous publications including American Songwriter, Relix, Goldmine, Pitchfork and many other top music publications garnering great reviews, averaging a 4 out of 5 star rating!

the album features country music hall of fame grammy winning charlie mccoy (harmonica), and grammy winning artist shawn camp (fiddle and mandolin) travis anderson bassist for mountain heart (upright bass/electric bass), ryan sise (co-producer/lead guitar), bethany jean smith (vocals on two duets), casey green (drums), singer songwriter scarlett egan (background vocals), and richard hill (background vocals).

In honor of Billy's late mother, Arlene Hubbard of the “Tennessee Pardners,” Shawn Camp played Arlene's vintage Gibson mandolin on the album’s song “goodbye waltz” with Billy playing acoustic guitar. Billy wrote the song based on his last phone call to his mother before she unexpectedly passed away.
